  • General Description:

    BIOFORS APP SUB contains inactivated bacterium A. pleuropneumoniae (APP) type 1 and recombinant ApxIA, ApxIIA, and ApxIIIA proteins, with oil adjuvant added. The bacterium was grown in culture medium and subsequently inactivated and recombinant ApxIA, ApxIIA, and ApxIIIA proteins were expressed using Escherichia coli (E. coli) expression system. The vaccine has a physical appearance as white oil emulsion.

Indication for Use:

Prevention of Swine Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae in pigs.

Method of Vaccination:

Shake well to mix thoroughly before use. Administer 1 Dose (2 mL) to each pig via intramuscular injection. 1st vaccination: administer 1 Dose to each pig of 5-6 weeks of age. 2nd vaccination: administer 1 Dose to each pig at 3-4 weeks post-1st vaccination.

Storage Conditions:

Store in a dark place at 2-8°C. Do not freeze.

10Doses/20mL/Bottle, 25Doses/50mL/Bottle and 50Doses/100mL/Bottle

Shelf Life:

2 years.

Precautions:

·Follow the instructions form and use under supervision of a veterinarian.

·Recover vaccine to room temperature before use.

·Off-white precipitates may appear when allowed the vaccine to stand for a period of time. Make to shake thoroughly before use.

·Fever and malaise may occur in vaccinated pigs. Symptoms usually subside in 3 days.

·Protect vaccine from direct sunlight and high temperatures.

·Vaccine healthy pigs only.

Sterilize the vaccination equipment in boiling water for at least 15 minutes. Do not sterilize by other chemical based methods. Sterilize vaccination site by 70% alcohol.
